Bee-Keeping Projects exist until now just as group projects, but every member has his or her own bee hive/s for which he or she is responsible.
In these projects they harvest wild honey from wild bees, by putting up bee hives. The bees are collecting the nectar in the near surroundings, that means that they also support the group by pollinating the plants and trees around the projects, which gives a good opportunity, to also start an Agriculture – Project close to the Bees.
It is somehow dangerous to take the honey out of the bee hives, because the bees try to defend it. So the members use some bounded sticks and put them on fire. The smoke drives away the bees and it is possibly to harvest the honey without being attacked.
The biggest challenge is the marketing. Often the prices for honey are quite low, so it is difficult to get a good profit from it. Furthermore there are sometimes diseases going around among the bee´s which is decreasing the number of bee´s. But even by these challenges this kind of project is quite popular.
